v2010: crash with send mail function

It seems to work fine for me here both at design time and at runtime. Could you please check that you are using the latest TeeChart version available (v2010.0.0.2)?

It is crashing both in debug environment and runtime

Lotus Notes is used on the machine to send mail.

Hi Guliz,

In VCL (in Delphi 7) I could make this run either with Outlook Express, Outlook 2007 and Thunderbird without problems, simply setting one or another mail client as default mail client. The Send button opens a new mail with the according mail client and with TeeChart.bmp attached.

However, in ActiveX (in VB6), I can only make it run with the two firsts (Outlook Express and Outlook 2007). Could you please try it?

With Thunderbird, in VB6, I'm getting this error:

According to microsoft support it indicates some problem with the attachment.
I've added it to the defect list to be investigated for further releases (TA05015325)

Sorry, I can not test it with Outlook because it is not installed on our PC and it is not authorized to install it.

I've tried with Lotus notes evaluation but I'm not sure about how to configure the output server (Gmail). I don't have too much experience with Lotus notes.

I've created an IMAP account to receive the mails. I can access to my mails through Open/Applications/Tab 1 (Workspace)/Gmail IMAP. This way it works fine, but if I go through Open/Mail it doesn't work:

Then I've configured a new account for SMTP. But I can't access to it through the Workspace to check it so I get an error when I go to File/New/Message

So I suspect that I have to configure somehow both accounts to be used by default in Lotus Notes.

I am not a Lotus Notes Expert so I can't help you in this way

Anyway, the send mail function is working fine with Teechart v8 with Lotus Notes...Peraps you could study the code differences (send mail function) between v8 vs v2010 ?
